This is one I tell everyone to open when they are starting their credit card points journey.

The 75,000 points are worth $1,000 with Chase Travel℠ . And the annual fee is $95 so that’s another great return on your investment.
You can also use the 75,000 points to transfer to partners like I prefer to do, and stay at Hyatt hotels for free or use the various other transfer partners like Flying Blue and Air Canada etc. These are some of the most flexible, valuable points so this is why I always recommend this card first.

I just saw an ad for the Sapphire Reserve for 100k points and $500 travel credit. I don’t have that card or this one – Sapphire Preferred. Which should I open first?!

Do any of these cards transfer points to partner airlines that are linked to Alaska airlines ?
I am trying to get enough points to purchase tickets to Rome. I don’t have enough just with Alaska card.

None of the main banks transfer to Alaska, but Bilt does and they will have some more cards next year. There’s 3 Alaska cards to choose from now though.
